Shane Reed

TriNZ Level 2 accredited  Swimming NZ Competitive Strokes Coach

Swim Coach

Shane was born in Palmerston North and was a competitive swimmer as a youngster, he moved to Australia when he was 11 years old where he was coached by a top Australian swim coach Laurie Lawrence.  Shane turned to Triathlon when he was 21 and after 3 years in the ITU world cup circuit, Shane won his first of three ITU world cups. Shane raced in 70 ITU World cup races over is 16 year professional career and was ranked top 10 for the majority. Shane raced for NZ along side his brother Matt who competed for the US in the Beijing 2008 Olympics.

Tammy Reed

TriNZ Level 2 accredited/Arthur Lydiard qualified coach 

Triathlon Coach/ Junior Coach

 Tammy was previously a personal trainer and soon became Shane’s key support person leading up to the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and until he retired in 2009. Tammy is passionate about all things Triathlon and established and built F3 coaching in January 2014 after finishing her Advanced Diploma in Sports and Exercise Science.

  • 2016 7th place Ironman 70.3 World Championship 

  • 2016 Overall NZ Duathlon Champion

  • 2015 3rd place Ironman 70.3 Taupo, New Zealand 

  • Had a break (mother duties) 2006-2014

  • 2005 Gold at the long-distance duathlon championships (Italy)

  • 2005 Bronze at Xterra (Hawaii, USA)
